Standalone Courseware BrowserBefore accessing online training for the first time, you should install the Standalone Courseware Browser. The Standalone Courseware Browser will serve as your interface to online training. The Standalone Courseware Browser works much like a web browser, except it's been specially designed for online training. This is the preferred method of interacting with the system. The Standalone Courseware Browser depends upon components of Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. Please do not proceed unless Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher are installed on your computer and you are using them now to view this page. Use the Integrated Courseware Browser (at right) instead. Downloading the Standalone Courseware Browser means in fact downloading a Setup Program. The Setup Program will install the Standalone Courseware Browser on your computer. To download the Setup Program, click on the link below. After clicking on the link, a dialog box will appear asking what to do next. Be sure to select Open or Run from Current Location and not "Save." After a minute or two of downloading, the Setup Program will run itself on your computer. Click "OK" from the Setup Program. Within seconds, icons will appear in your Start Menu and on your desktop. When you're ready to start training, click one of the icons to launch the Standalone Courseware Browser. Enter your account ID and password when prompted. That's it. You only need to download the Setup Program once. Simply connect to the Internet and click the icon whenever you wish to study. There is no need to start Internet Explorer. Start Download (1.4M) |
